I wanted to record a short video today and share about some things God has been highlighting to me the past few days and even take you down memory lane a little bit with me. I pray this encourages you! If something suddenly comes to an end then there is also a suddenly NEXT ahead of you!
In praying for a new beginning realize that means somethings will come to an end. Don’t cry too long over those things that may be suddenly ending and catch you offguard. If you want to new beginnings… You got a live through some endings.
“Now I become a Christian. On Christmas Sunday in 2014, I was baptized. I believe that if Christ Church Choir didn’t come to me, I would not accept Jesus and I would still sing Gospel as just only music. But now, I can sing Gospel as the essence of Bible, “God’s words”. ~ Momoko I read […]
As I was praying today about all of the events going on around the world, particularly in the Middle East, I felt like the Holy Spirit reminded me of a scripture passage. I want to share this with you today and hopefully you will join me in praying! I was praying for President Obama and […]
I was honored to be the guest for an online video blog today with a dear friend in ministry, Michelle Sarabia. Michelle’s ministry slogan is,“Beyond Brave” and she asked me to talk about VMM/Good Deeds International, sharing a little bit about my journey in “bravely” stepping out into this new adventure with God. I knew […]
Middle East explanations
Amir Tsarfati at Grace Chapel, Leipers Fork, TN
In light of the current events going on in the Middle East and Russia, I wanted to share a link to a great video (2hrs) that I believe will be helpful to those who are concerned/interested in what’s happening in this part of the world BUT don’t fully understand what’s going on.
Why are these people fighting?
Who are Sunni and Shites? What countries identify with these groups?
Who is Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Queda, ISIS, The Muslim Brotherhood, the Taliban?
Where does Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Syria, Israel, Palestine, Russia, The USA all fit in to this?
Does the Bible talk about these conflicts happening and are these all signs of the End when Christ returns?
This informative video of Amir Tsarfati speaking on these subjects will be worth 2 hours of your attention. For some of you who have a hard time with picturing the Middle East and how these countries connect, you may want to pull up a map on your computer and follow along!
I was meeting this past week with someone who is doing ministry in an area of the world that I visited earlier this year. This was our first time to meet so we both were sharing a little about our backgrounds in ministry & why we both feel drawn to help these particular people. As […]
Anything can happen
This familiar story of the father who came to Jesus for help with his mute/demon possessed son was particularly striking to me today. We struggle with many things throughout our lives and sometimes even fail to pray for help because of our own doubts about whether God will even answer. Jesus was so clear in this passage…. the POWER is in our BELIEVING —- FAITH.
There are no “ifs” when believers pray in faith.
Anything is possible with God.
So, like this father in the story below, I say to Jesus – I believe.
17-18 A man out of the crowd answered, “Teacher, I brought my mute son, made speechless by a demon, to you. Whenever it seizes him, it throws him to the ground. He foams at the mouth, grinds his teeth, and goes stiff as a board. I told your disciples, hoping they could deliver him, but they couldn’t.”19-20 Jesus said, “What a generation! No sense of God! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring the boy here.” They brought him. When the demon saw Jesus, it threw the boy into a seizure, causing him to writhe on the ground and foam at the mouth.21-22 He asked the boy’s father, “How long has this been going on?”“Ever since he was a little boy. Many times it pitches him into fire or the river to do away with him. If you can do anything, do it. Have a heart and help us!”23 Jesus said, “If? There are no ‘ifs’ among believers. Anything can happen.”24 No sooner were the words out of his mouth than the father cried, “Then I believe. Help me with my doubts!”25-27 Seeing that the crowd was forming fast, Jesus gave the vile spirit its marching orders: “Dumb and deaf spirit, I command you—Out of him, and stay out!” Screaming, and with much thrashing about, it left. The boy was pale as a corpse, so people started saying, “He’s dead.” But Jesus, taking his hand, raised him. The boy stood up.
The past few months I have felt strongly that there will be rapidly increasing persecution of Christians in America. If you choose to follow God’s word and do so in love and truth, you will still face persecution. This is not because you are not doing something right. It is because of the spiritual battle […]
So, my last post was thankfulness for a few spiritual things. Part-two today is for a few of those other things in life that deserve some thanks. Don’t hurt your brain trying to find any spiritual significance in any of these! 1. United Airlines. Yep… thankful for the airline that has carried me and my belongings […]
I didn’t do the “30 Days of Thankfulness” postings on social media for November this year. I try to be Thankful 365 days a year! Still, today I wanted to post a few “spiritual” things I’m thankful for, just to keep in the spirit of this Thanksgiving week. PART ONE: 1. MERCY. I’ve been deeply touched […]
